Hulmeians let it slip

AMATEUR FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Hulmeians let a two-goal lead slip as they lost 3-2 at Radcliffe Boys in division two of the Lancashire Amateur League.
The visitors went 2-0 up in the opening half-hour courtesy of goals from strike partners Danny Tate and Danny Proffitt.
Radcliffe got themselves back on level terms by the hour mark, and there were chances at both ends before the home side grabbed a winner two minutes from time.
Second-half goals from Chris Wales and Mark Kearns kept Chaddertonians ‘A’ in second place in division four.
Wales powered home a header and Kearns scored with a fine individual effort in the 2-0 win at Old Mancunians ‘A’.
The games involving Hulmeians’ second and third teams were postponed but Hulmeians ‘B’ moved off the bottom of division seven with a 2-1 win at Radcliffe Town ‘B’. John Hurst and Dan Ramnauth got the goals.

Call-up for Scott
SCOTT OWEN, of Chaddertonians, has been named in the provisional inter-league squad for the Lancashire Amateur League’s NLS FA Carlsberg Cup tie against the West Cheshire League at Padiham FC on Wednesday, December 2, (7.45pm).
Owen, who plays in midfield, has been one of the stars for Chaddertonians in the Lancashire Amateur League’s premier division this season.
