AMATEUR RUGBY LEAGUE; SADDLEWORTH Rangers stay top of National Conference League division one thanks to a 10-4 win at Stanningley.
In the BARLA National Cup, Waterhead exited in the first round with a 18-12 home defeat to Egremont, while Higginshaw’s tie at Liversedge was postponed and will be played this weekend instead.
Oldham Rugby Union were forced to dig deep for an 18-14 home win over Burnley in their vital match in the North Lancs/Cumbria division.
