INBEV BOWLS: WATERLOO and Taunton closed the gap on Inbev Winter Bowling League ‘A’ Division leaders Springbank to five points following a 10-1 demolition of New Street.
Royle are third, a further seven points behind, after a 9-2 dismissal of Nimble Nook, while Hopwood - who beat host club Chadderton Cot 9-2 - are fourth, but with a game in hand.
Lees/Springhead are a massive 28 points clear in the ‘B’ Division and could well go through the season unbeaten.
They defeated second-placed Prestwich 9-2, while Stalybridge overcame Dogwood by the same score and North Chadderton saw off Failsworth 7-4.
