GOLF: MARK Barrett, father and son Brent and Bradley Cannings and John Moss joined forces to win a team Stableford at Crompton and Royton with 75 points.
Runners-up on 74 points were Chris King, Andy Allen, Stephen Bower and Landy Wild, while Paul Ireson, Alan Scoltock, Charlie Lowe and Ray Anchor were third on 73.
MARK Gill won a card-play-off against runner-up Alex Hampson and third-placed Paul Wharton in Blackley’s latest winter league competition after all three scored 43 Stableford points.
Garry Baldwin leads the overall competition on 26 points from Alex Hampson (24).
Scott Salway (47 points) is setting the pace in the junior order of merit, followed by Gareth Saxon (41) and Matt Williams (33).
