CBC closing in on the leaders

SNOOKER: CBC, now unbeaten in their last 10 encounters, recorded their second successive 5-1 victory to leapfrog into second place in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.

Springbank B are still the team to catch. Following a 4-2 victory at home to Nimble Nook they hold a two-point lead at the halfway stage.

Stanley Road have dropped to third place after their second 5-1 defeat in a row.

Ward go clear at the top

YORKSHIRE Ward 1 moved eight points clear at the top of the Saddleworth Snooker League after a win at Greenfield 2.

With the scores tied after four games, M Barton secured the win and aggregate in the last frame.

Mossley moved up to second place with a fine victory against early pacesetters Austerlands 1, with P Price keeping up his 100-per-cent record for Mossley.
