BOWLS: SPRINGBANK strengthened their grip at the top of the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s ‘A’ Division thanks to a 9-2 defeat of New Street.
Second-placed Waterloo and Taunton beat host club Chadderton Cot 8-3, while Hopwood moved into third place following an identical return against Nimble Nook.
Lees/Springhead continued their dominance in the ‘B’ Division with a 9-2 victory over Failsworth, while North Chadderton are in second place following a 10-1 demolition of Stalybridge and Dogwood recorded a welcome 8-3 win against Vixens.
