CUP HOPEFULS TO TRY AGAIN

ALL of the scheduled Carnegie Challenge Cup preliminary round ties fell victim to the weather and will be replayed this coming weekend.
Oldham St Anne’s will try for a third time to get their home game against Wigan St Jude’s on for either Saturday or Sunday - and it is a similar story for Waterhead, who take on visiting Drighlington.
If the games cannot be played due to poor conditions, they will again be pushed back to the following weekend.
Saddleworth Rangers — who have a bye into the first round of the cup — had their National Conference League division one match at Bradford Dudley Hill postponed.
Rangers take on Wigan St Cuthbert’s at home in the second round of the BARLA National Cup this Saturday, with Higginshaw playing visiting Hunslet Warriors at the same stage of the knockout .
FOR the fourth consecutive Saturday, all football fixtures in the Vodkat North-West Counties League were postponed because of snow and ice.
Oldham Boro were due to play Wigan Robin Park at the Whitebank Stadium, while Chadderton were away to AFC Blackpool.
Mossley’s match at home to Garforth Town in UniBond League division one north was also off.
