Early points blitz rocks Waterhead

RUGBY LEAGUE:
WATERHEAD slumped to a 32-10 defeat at home to Pennine League premier division side Drighlington.
The local outfit made an awful start, conceding tries from Tom Moorby, Ryan Jackson and Lee Mulhern in the opening 10 minutes.
Hooker Dale Lowe pulled a try back for Waterhead, from National Conference League division two, and Terry Fitzgerald added the goal, but the Yorkshiremen continued to dominate.
Further tries from Sam Pickles, Mulhern, Moorby and Michael Sanderson stretched Drighlington’s lead to 26-6 at the break.
And they piled up more points after the restart thanks to a Liam Coughland try, goaled by Sanderson.
Waterhead did get on the scoresheet again with a Ben Yates touch down.
