Willcock resigns

FOOTBALL:
CHRIS WILLCOCK has stepped down as manager of Mossley to become Benny Phillips’ right-hand man at Stalybridge Celtic, who are gunning for promotion from Blue Square North.
Willcock, who took over the Seel Park hot-seat in June 2008, has been replaced for the foreseeable future by his No.2 John Flanagan.
A former player at Mossley, he thought long and hard about the decision, but felt it was an opportunity too good to turn down as he looks to further his ambitions in the game.
Willcock leaves with the thanks and best wishes of the Mossley committee for all his hard work, on and off the pitch, in his 18 months at the club.
