Angels celebrate cup-final field day

HEYSIDE were on a high in the North Manchester Girls League Knock-out Cup finals.

They contested four finals and all four of their teams won!

Under-11s Whites had a comfortable 6-0 win over Delamere Rangers, with goals from Molly Taylor (two), Caitlin Patterson, Ella Rigby, Lavinia Whitehead, Katie Halligan.

Caitlin Senior and Jade Hughes scored for under-12s Inter, who picked up their seventh piece of league silverware thanks to a 4-1 victory over Uppermill.

The under-13s won their first trophy, overcoming Chadderton Park 1-0 with a goal from Alix Sephton.

And under-14s Blues, who were 3-1 down at one stage, beat Harpurhey United 6-3. Kayleigh Larkin (three), Leoni Harland (two) and Paige Rowland were the scorers.

ROCS FC under-15s got the better of their under-16s side in an enthralling Knock-out Cup final.

The younger age group, inspired by Lauren Steel’s hat-trick, won 4-3. Shona Ninian got the other goal.

On target for the under-16s were Nicole Kenyon, Emma Watson and Bethany Ormrod.

Chadderton Park under-10s were also celebrating after clinching the Knock-out Cup with a 3-0 defeat of Curzon Ashton.

Goalless at half-time, Park claimed the club’s first piece of silverware this season with efforts from Katie Bolton and Ella Leghorn (two) .

UNDER-12S: Heyside Angels Clarets 2 (Alicia Stretton, Ella Milovanovic), Denton Girls 1.

UNDER-11S: Heyside Angels Blues 5 (Antonia Keogh 2, Ellie Morrison, Jessica Lane, Sophia Norbury), Harpurhey United 1.
