BOWLS: MATCHES in the Inbev Winter Bowling League this weekend will start earlier than scheduled.
Games have been brought forward to accommodate an extra fixture in the afternoon.
The cold snap of December and early January caused the cancellation of many matches and league officials are rearranging them before the team knock-out competition starts next month.
Tomorrow (‘A’ Division): Royle v Nimble Nook at 9am; Hopwood v Chadderton Cot at 11am; Waterloo and Taunton v New Street at 1pm; Cot v New Street at 3pm.
Sunday (‘B’ Division): Prestwich v Lees/Springhead at 9am; Stalybridge v Dogwood at 11am; Failsworth v North Chadderton at 1pm; North Chadderton v Dogwood at 3pm.
DELPH and Dobcross BC are on the look-out for players for the 2010 crown green bowling season.
The club has teams in the Chadderton League (Monday). Failsworth League (Wednesday), Saddleworth League (Saturday) and Oldham Veterans’ League (Thursday).
Anyone who wishes to play for the club in any of these leagues is asked to contact Bill Holland on 01457 784331.
COALSHAW Park also need players to play in the Blackley Women’s League on Wednesday.
