Oldham in points mission

RUGBY UNION: BUOYED by their excellent win at home to St Benedict’s, Oldham RUFC go to Eccles tomorrow in search of more vital North Lancs/Cumbria League points (kick-off 2.15pm).

The Manor Park outfit are targeting a repeat performance — they won 40-18 last weekend — as they look to cement a place in mid-table.

Eccles were promoted to the division last season and have taken the step up in their stride, but Oldham boast a good record in previous clashes between the protagonists.

Mike Douthwaite is added to the Oldham squad for the away trip.
