DARTS: OLDHAM have stretched their lead at the top of the Lancashire GMC Super Eights to nine points after a 7-3 defeat of Little Houlton.

Stuart Holden was the man-of-the-match, averaging 92.89 and hitting two 180s in an impressive 4-1 victory.

Son, Lee, also recorded a maximum and averaged 69.13 in a 4-2 win for the town team, while Lee Williams produced an 11-dart finish in a 4-2 success (86.33).

Also victorious for Oldham at the Flowerpot were Peter Connolly (4-0, 89.89), Peter Day snr (4-2, 71.18), Dave Rawstron (4-1, 69.53) and Ian Walters (4-1, 83.53).

Nearest rivals Rochdale Borough are in action against Little Houlton on Sunday.

Oldham’s next competitive outing is on Sunday, February 7, in the Super League Team Knock-out, a one-day event, at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood.
