LACROSSE:
Oldham were beaten 10-8 at home by Mellor A in Division 3 of the North of England League.
In the preliminary round of the Nigel Wayne Trophy, Oldham A defeated Hull 13-4 before being awarded a walkover 1-0 win over Birmingham in the quarter-finals.
