TAME Valley’s first team extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a thrilling 3-2 win over a strong Monton firsts line up in division three of the North-West Counties Squash League.
Jamie Maddox, Amir Manachouri and Mike Porter were Valley’s formidable trio.
The seconds were beaten 3-2 by Rochdale thirds — Graham Hall and Steve Ivell were successful — but the thirds recorded their second consecutive 4-1 victory, this time against Rochdale fourths. Richard Green, Lee Coverley, Andrew Bailey and Eric Buchannan were triumphant.
The fourths were also in sparkling form, sweeping aside Fairways Lodge fifths 5-0, with wins from Rod Humphries, Mark Gartside, Nigel Young, Mark Regan and Steve Brannan.
