THE TRIO of National Conference clubs are all in league action this weekend, with Waterhead and Saddleworth Rangers doubling up to play two matches inside 24 hours.

Oldham St Anne’s of division two have a tricky away fixture at Crosfields (2.30pm kick-off) as they bid to give a boost to their promotion prospects.

Garry Rafferty is missing for Saints’ trip to Warrington with a pulled hamstring and Dane English is a doubt with a foot injury.

Zac Cotton, recovered from an ankle problem with a pair of reserve games under his belt, comes back into the reckoning.

Elsewhere in division two, Waterhead — who enjoyed a terrific first victory in months against second-placed Stanley Rangers last weekend — are at home to East Leeds in division two (2.30pm), bidding for a fifth league win of the season.

Saddleworth Rangers, top of division one, have an away match at Thornhill Trojans and will then face a stern test on Sunday (2pm), as they travel to take on Standard Cup holders Waterhead in a quarter-final tie.

THIS season’s Standard Cup final will be held at Manor Park, home of Oldham RUFC, the Oldham Amateur League have confirmed.

The game will take place at the new venue on Good Friday, April 2 (11am kick-off) as a result of Oldham Athletic ruling that Boundary Park cannot be used on the same weekend.
