NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: Manager Paul Buckley is warning against complacency as he prepares Chadderton for the visit of basement boys Rochdale Town in division one of the Vodkat North-West Counties League tomorrow.

The Broadway outfit are looking to stretch their unbeaten run to three games against a side who caused one of the shocks of the season by beating title-hopefuls AFC Liverpool six days ago.

Buckley said: “Rochdale had a great result last weekend, which shows we can’t take anything for granted.

“They have already beaten us once this season in the league and they are not a bad side.

“We’ve got to go out with the right attitude because if we can string a few wins together we could soon find ourselves above half-way.”

Defender Dave Glynn (unavailable), striker Jimmy Huet (unavailable) and midfield pair Gaz Morris (suspended) and John Jones (injury) are absent for Chadderton, who sit 13th in the table.

LIFTED by a draw against table-toppers Stone Dominoes, Oldham Boro play host to improving Ashton Town in NWCL division one tomorrow.

They were leading Stone 2-1 until the 89th minute but, despite the disappointment of conceding a late goal, the atmosphere at the Whitebank Stadium is still excellent, according to the Boro chief.

“The place is buzzing,” said Mills, who set to call on the same players who performed so well last weekend.

“We had 24 at training before the Stone game and at that stage I thought we were up for it.

“The players response this week has also been good — we had a productive meeting Tuesday night — so hopefully we can build on that performance.”

MOSSLEY go head to head with Prescot Cables for the second time in the space of seven days in UniBond League division one north tomorrow.

New Lilywhites boss John Flanagan watched his side draw 1-1 at Seel Park last weekend when Matty Kay’s 80th-minute goal was cancelled out moments later by ex-Mossley player Tom Spearritt.
