LEES/SPRINGHEAD clinched the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s ‘B’ Division title thanks to their 8-3 defeat of Lower Failsworth on Chadderton Cot’s artificial surface.
With only one fixture remaining, they are 16 points ahead of nearest rivals North Chadderton, who overcame Stalybridge 7-4.
Waterloo and Taunton need six points from their final fixture of the season if they are to clinch the ‘A’ Division title. Waterloo improved their position with a 10-1 defeat of Chadderton Cot, while second-placed Springbank kept their title hopes alive by beating New Street 8-3.
