SQUASH: In a series of rearranged matches, which were postponed during the bad weather last month, Tame Valley’s first, third and fourth teams were all in action in the North West Counties Squash League - and all won.
The firsts handed out a 5-0 thrashing to Wigan Cricket 4th thanks to
Jamie Maddox, Amir Manachouri, Dave Swallow, Mike Potter and Steve Buxton.
The thirds also triumphed, 3-2 against Hyde Cricket 3rd, through John Heston, Andrew Bailey and Lee Coverley, while veteran Derek Leyland lead the fourths to a fine 4-1 win over Rochdale 6th with support from Eric Mowinski, Amanda Maddox and Dave Wilson.
