One fixture away from title

BOWLS: WATERLOO and Taunton will clinch the Inbev Winter Bowling League ‘A’ Division title if they beat Nimble Nook in a rearranged fixture at Chadderton Cot on Sunday (9.45am).

Other rearranged fixtures, which complete the league programme, are: Tomorrow (‘B’ Division) - Failsworth v Dogwood at 9.45am; North Chadderton v Prestwich at 2.15pm. Sunday (‘A’ Division) - Hopwood v New Street at noon.


ONLY 20 spaces are left in the 2010 Moorside Classic, sponsored by Carlsberg UK and carrying a first prize of £700.

Places are available in heats on Thursday July 29, Thursday, August 5, Friday, August 6 and Friday, August 13 (6.30pm).

The finals will be held on Sunday, August 22 (1.30pm).
