Dad shows Matt the way to do it

TIME OUT . . . John and Jan Taylor take a break from watching son Matt (inset) in action during their Tasmanian visit.
YOUNG Werneth all-rounder Matt Taylor has been continuing his cricketing education at Longley Cricket Club in Tasmania during the winter.
But it was his dad, John, who shone for the club in a recent C grade match against Woodbridge.
John and wife Jan have been visiting Matthew during a three-week holiday.
And, given the chance to don his whites, John showed his bowling prowess with a two for 14 haul in Longley’s one-wicket victory.
A Longley spokesman said: “The club has had the pleasure of the company of John and Jan over the past two weeks and they have impressed all at the club with their friendly nature.
“Despite John’s less-than-imaginative dressing in whites and claiming to be James Anderson at the dress-up party last week, they have been great company and helped to develop what we hope to be an ongoing link with the UK in the years to come.”
