Rangers facing must-win test

AMATEUR RUGBY: SADDLEWORTH Rangers are back in league action tomorrow when they entertain bottom-of-the-table Heworth at Shaw Hall Bank Road (2.30pm kick-off).
Keith Brennan’s men, without a fixture last week, are top of National Conference League division one by a point from Thatto Heath Crusaders, who have two games in hand. So two points against the basement side who have lost every one of their 18 league matches so far this season is vital.
In division two, Waterhead scrapped out a 10-10 draw against local rivals Oldham St Anne’s last week and will bid to build on that performance at home to Crosfields (2.30pm).
Saints who are away to second-bottom Shaw Cross Sharks, have slipped to three points behind division two leaders Eccles and need to get back on track quickly to regain their promotion momentum.
