NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: CHADDERTON are setting their sights on the semi-finals of the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One Trophy tomorrow.
Paul Buckley’s side are away to AFC Blackpool in the last eight of the competition — and the Broadway boss is promising to go on the attack.
“It’s pointless trying to defend,” said Buckley. “We’ve got plenty of players who are capable of scoring goals, so we’ll have a right good go at them.”
Leon Melia, who was sent off against Barnoldswick Town on Monday night, is available, but there are doubts surrounding John Rogers (calf) and John Jones (ankle).
OLDHAM Boro hit the road tomorrow hoping to stretch their unbeaten sequence to five games in division one of the NWCL.
Tony Mills’ side, who have won one and drawn three of their last four fixtures, visit third-placed Leek CSOB.
The mini-run has coincided with a series of matches at the Whitebank Stadium, but the challenge now for Boro, who are second-bottom, is to translate that form away from home.
Mills is waiting on the availability of Duncan Philbin, Lee Scanlan and Ryan Baldwin.
MOSSLEY are looking to make it three wins on the trot in UniBond League division one north tomorrow.
John Flanagan’s in-form side are away to West Yorkshire outfit Wakefield.
Back-to-back victories over Clitheroe and Bamber Bridge have lifted the Lilywhites to 15th in the table, while this weekend’s hosts sit two places below them after only two win in the league since the end of November.
