Rangers to face Higgy in final

SADDLEWORTH Rangers and Higginshaw will contest this year’s Standard Cup final after both came through their last-four ties yesterday.
Rangers won 35-4 to defeat Oldham St Anne’s at Higginshaw Road, while Higginshaw saw off Rochdale Cobras 38-16 at Oldham Edge.
In the weekend’s league games, Saddleworth Rangers thrashed Heworth 80-0 at home in National Conference League division one, while in division two St Anne’s won 30–18 at Shaw Cross and Waterhead beat visitors Crosfields 34-28.
Oldham Rugby Union slipped to a 46-7 home defeat by high-flying Kirkby Lonsdale in North Lancs/Cumbria Division.
