AMATEUR RUGBY: SADDLEWORTH Rangers suffered a narrow 25-24 defeat at West Bowling in rugby league’s National Conference League division one.
In division two, Oldham St Anne’s hammered Shaw Cross Sharks 72-10 at home while Waterhead were beaten 22-18 at Castleford Lock Lane.
Oldham Rugby Union suffered an unfortunate 23-10 defeat at Workington in North Lancs/Cumbria division.
