Valley slip to narrow defeat

 SQUASH: After surrendering their nine-match unbeaten run last week, Tame Valley’s first team slipped up again, beaten 3-2 by Cheetham Hill firsts in Division three North East of the North West Counties Squash League.

Jamie Maddox and Amir Manachouri were the local winners.

The seconds and fourths both lost 4-1 to Village Hyde firsts and Monton thirds, respectively. Steve Ivell was the only winner for the seconds and Eric Mowinski for the fourths.

However, John Heston, Lee Coverley and Eric Buchannan combined for a 3-2 win for the thirds over David Lloyd Manchester seconds.
