Tame back in charge

Tame Valley’s first team bounced back to form after two defeats with a 4-1 win over Markland Hill 1st in Division 3 North-East of the North West Counties League.
Jamie Maddox, Dave Swallow, Mike Potter and Steve Buxton supplied the points.
The seconds, playing in Division 4 East, had Steve Ivell, Wayne Smith and Graham Hall to thank for their 3-2 defeat of Cheetham Hill 2nds.
In the same division, the thirds beat Cheetham Hill 3rd 5-0 with wins for John Heston, Eric Buchannan, Lee Coverley, Andrew Bailey and Richard Green.
The fourths had a 5-0 win over David Lloyd Bolton 2nd. Mark Garside, Nigel Young and Steven Brannan were successful, while short-handed Bolton had to concede the other two games.
