AMATEUR RUGBY: OLDHAM St Anne’s have strengthened their grip on the 2009/10 Rugby Oldham Challenge.
Mick Cashin’s side, who require one win from their remaining two games to gain promotion from National Conference League division two, lead from Rochdale Cobras.
Saddleworth Rangers, in third place, lost ground in the battle for local bragging right after a 42-8 defeat at Bradford Dudley Hill in NCL division one.
