NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:

CHADDERTON turned the form book upside down with a superb 2-1 win over title pretenders Stone Dominoes in division one of the Vodkat North-West Counties League last night.

Paul Buckley’s side, who lost at home to Ashton Town on Saturday, displayed excellent powers of recovery at a rain-lashed Broadway.

Trailing to Andrew Matthews’ 21st-minute effort, they were back on level terms just after the hour mark courtesy of striker James Curley.

And, with only a minute left on the clock, defender John Rogers grabbed the winner on his return to the side from a long-term injury.

OLDHAM Boro are without key midfielder Tom Hughes for tonight’s NWCL division one encounter at home to Irlam (kick-off 7.45pm).

Hughes picked up a two-game ban after being sent off against Leek CSOB. He will also sit out the local derby clash at Chadderton on Easter Monday.

The suspension was due to start at Holker Old Boys last Saturday, but the game was postponed after the bus, shipping nine Boro players to the ground and manager Tony Mills, broke down on the M6 close to Lancaster.

Duncan Philbin (work commitments) and Arnold Nsimbe (calf) are also absent for the visit of fourth-placed Irlam.

MOSSLEY are looking to return to winning ways against promotion contenders Skelmersdale United in UniBond League division one north at Hurst Cross tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Lilywhites conceded a last-gasp goal in a 2-1 defeat at Lancaster City last weekend.
