Big day for Saints

JUDGEMENT day arrives tomorrow for Oldham St Anne's, who must win their National Conference League division two home match against fellow promotion rivals Castleford Lock Lane (2.30pm kick-off) to guarantee a top-three finish.
Saints were beaten 22-18 at Stanley Rangers last week, but will still be heavy favourites to finish in a promotion spot even if they lose tomorrow.
Two members of the chasing pack, Lock Lane and Stanley, clash in Castleford a week tomorrow — meaning it is impossible for both teams to pick up maximum points from their remaining games.
And even if they finish level with Saints, the positive points difference St Anne’s have should see them back up to division one.
Saddleworth Rangers are also in a promotion race in division one and face a punishing schedule.
In addition to today's Standard Cup final against Higginshaw, Rangers play Castleford Panthers at home tomorrow (2.30pm) and have a game at Thatto Heath on Wednesday (6.45pm).
Waterhead play their last home game of the season against Shaw Cross Sharks tomorrow (2.30pm).
