CHAMPIONS HELD

SNOOKER:

MOSS INN ‘B’, newly-crowned champions of the Chadderton Snooker League, ended their campaign with a 3-3 draw against Springbank.

Mick Webb compiled a 46 break against Dave Goodison while also on good form for Moss Inn was Mick Dickinson, who had a 38 break despite losing to M Smith.

The cards title will be decided by a play-off as Chadderton Cot ‘A’ and Springbank finished tied at the top of the table.

The league’s closing meeting will be held at Royton Conservative Club on Sunday, April 18.

Amateur Snooker League

BLUE Club B suffered their second 5-1 defeat in two weeks in the Oldham Amateur Snooker League and have seen their lead at the top cut to just two points.

A 6-0 victory for Stanley Road and a 5-1 win for Moss Inn A has made it very tight at the top.

Martin Kennedy’s 47 break was the highlight as Little Cot A played host to Blue Club A.
