GOLF: Blackley managed to beat Altrincham 5-2 in the Dunham Forest first round. The winners were Chris Benton, Mike Smith, Gareth Morris (captain), Alan Lane and Craig Gould (pro).
In the annual Captain v President match, the president’s team were victorious. Incorporated was a Stableford won by Brian Johnson (42 pts) from Mark Littlewood (41) and Alex Hampson (41).
