MOSSLEY’S outside hopes of reaching the UniBond League division one north play-offs suffered a setback when they were beaten 3-1 at Colwyn Bay last night.
Mike Fish put the Lilywhites ahead from the penalty spot on the half hour mark, but the home side were level by the break before going on to claim all three points with a second-half double.
CHADDERTON’S hopes of a fourth consecutive victory in division one of the North-West Counties League were dashed by Norton United last night.
Paul Buckley’s side led 2-1 thanks to goals from Daniel Shaw (35 minutes) and Adam Edwards (66), but their hosts hit back to win 4-2.
Steve Allen scored two of the United goals following earlier efforts from Michael Marron and s Fox.
Sean Roscoe gave OLDHAM BORO a 10th-minute lead at home to Irlam, but the Whitebank Stadium outfit eventually went down 3-1. Darren Green bagged a brace and Ryan Hutchinson got the other goal for the visitors.
