NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Boro boss Tony Mills has promised his side will take the fight to title-chasing Stone Dominoes in Vodkat North-West Counties League division one tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Buoyed by a goalless draw against AFC Liverpool at the weekend, the local outfit are setting their sights on an upset at the Springbank Stadium.

Second-bottom Boro are without three key players — Duncan Philbin, Arnold Nsimbe and Nick Alexander have work commitments — but Mills is sticking to his game plan

He said: “We’re going there for the win. We won’t be playing for a point and we’ll attack at every opportunity.”

The loss of three players has been tempered somewhat by the inclusion of midfielder and leading scorer Tom Hughes and full-back Lee Deakin. The duo missed Saturday’s draw at the Whitebank Stadium.

CHADDERTON manager Paul Buckley is targeting a top-eight finish in division one of the NWCL.

The Broadway side have six games remaining, starting with tonight’s trip to Daisy Hill (7.45pm).

Buckley is without a clutch of players and may be forced to include midfield man John Jones, who returned from a four-month injury lay-off in the reserves last night.

Definitely missing are Dave Glynn (suspended), Donovan Greenidge (work), Chris Pauley (work) and Gaz Morris (unavailable). There are also doubts surrounding Sean Nolan and Leon Melia.

MOSSLEY are gearing for a hectic end to the UniBond League division one north season.

The Lilywhites, whose hopes of securing a place in the play-offs were dashed by a 5-2 defeat at Skelmersdale United at the weekend, face three games in five days.

John Flanagan’s side kick-off with tonight’s against Garforth Town at Hurst Cross (7.45pm), they meet Skelmersdale at the same venue on Thursday, before ending their campaign at home to Rossendale United on Saturday.
