Stanley line up a double

SNOOKER: Blue Club ‘B’ and Moss Inn ‘A’ were both held to a 3–3 draw, meaning Stanley Road’s 6-0 whitewash of St Paul’s has put them top of the Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
With three games to go, and 18 points to play for, it’s looking like the title race is going right down to the wire.
Stanley Road also sit top of the cards league and are in prime position to complete the snooker-cards double.

OLDHAM Snooker Academy ‘A’ team lost 4-3 to Moor Club ‘A’ in the Manchester Snooker League.
There were wins for Craig Atherton, Martin McGuiness and Sajid Zamurd, who hit a 20 break followed by a superb 73 but lost the aggregate on a fluked pink.
Oldham’s lead in division one has been reduced to seven points after second-placed Hazel Grove beat Crucible ‘A’, but they are still in prime position with two games remaining.
The B team had an open date but still lead division two by eight points with two matches to go.
LEISURE SO CLOSE
WITH just one match to play, Tara Leisure are odds-on favourites to take the Saw Tech Shaw Snooker League title after beating Cartshaft 5-1.
Second-placed Royton Cons won four out of the five frames against Crompton Cons, but lost the aggregate point thanks to a fine win by D Walton. Next up for Royton are third-placed Moss Inn, who lost 4-2 against Comrades ‘A’.
The darts title is up for grabs with Cartshaft A and Comrades A in contention and they play each other in the last match.
