Whitewash win is perfect response from Brookdale

BROOKDALE ‘A’ bounced back in style in the Oldham and District Golf League ‘A’ division.
Having been whitewashed on the opening day of the season at Ashton, they entertained reigning champions Dukinfield and registered their own 8-0 success.
The early leaders in the division are Denton, who moved ahead thanks to a 6-2 win at Oldham.
Stamford set the pace after two wins in the ‘B’ division while in the ‘C’ division Blackley’s ‘A’ team retained bragging rights when they beat their own ‘B’ team 6-2 .

Qualifier success for duo
JOAN Swindells and Eileen Fallows combined to scoop the Scott Leggatt qualifier at WERNETH.
The duo recorded 37 points to come out on top.
Lisa Hall and Glynis Jones (33pts) won the first division sweep after a card play-off to also qualifier.
The second division sweep went to Vivien Leaver and Nadine McNamara, also with 33 points.
