SAM Sweeney was the star of the show when Woodhouses waltzed to a 10-wicket win in the Lancashire County League.
He took seven for nine as they dismissed opponents Woodbank for 67. In reply, Jimmy Clarke scored 36 and captain Mike Cassidy made 29.
It means there will be no shortage of confidence in the ranks this weekend.
Woodhouses face two away games in the league. They travel to Thornham on Saturday before taking on Denton 24 hours later.
