Delph cruise to home victory

LOCAL CRICKET: DELPH eased to a home victory against Barkisland in the Drakes Huddersfield League premier division.
The visitors were dismissed for 172 before Delph made 173 without loss.
Matt Norvall took two for 31 for Delph, who cruised to the win after Irfan Zahoor recorded 85 and Bruce Cruse 78.
Delph seconds beat Micklehurst seconds.
Ian Cotterill claimed four for 24 as Micklehurst were all out for 146.
In reply Delph finished on 148 for one, with Tom Wood making an undefeated 80.
In the Frank Platt championship, Micklehurst went down to a defeat at Clayton West.
Their hosts made 393 for four.
S Chanley got 55, but Micklehurst were dismissed for 193.
