No room for complacency

CRICKET: SHAW will have to be on their guard when they go to Droylsden in the Armstrongs Office Furniture Saddleworth and District Cricket League tomorrow.

Steve Whiston’s side are going great guns at the top of the table, but their opponents will be on a high after recording a first win in the competition since the 2008 season.

Inspired by a century from Saif Ur Rehman, Droylsden defeated Saddleworth by seven wickets last Sunday.

Another in-form player hails from Saddleworth, in the shape of Steve Taylor, who claimed four wickets in as many balls in the recent victory over Hollinwood. He will be looking to repeat the trick against Heyside.

Bamford Fieldhouse, in second place, make the trip to Greenfield, while Stayley head to Hollinwood.
