FOOTBALL: KHARTOUM completed the double when they clinched the Oldham Sunday League premier division shield courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Chaddy End at Chadderton FC.
It came hot on the heels of their Jack Abbott premier division title glory.
Roy Radcliffe and Michael Comfry scored for Khartoum, with B Dorward getting Chaddy End’s goal.
John Byram, who jointly runs Khartoum alongside Ian Dickinson, was delighted.
He said: “We’ve only been going two seasons so it’s a fantastic achievement.”
Highfield beat Limeside Athletic ‘A’ 4-2 on penalties to claim the division one shield after a goalless draw.
