CRICKET: DELPH go to Marsden in the Drakes Huddersfield League premiership tomorrow in high spirits.
Defeats of Slaithwaite and Golcar have propelled them to sixth in the table after a shaky start to the campaign.
Skipper Grant Jones (pictured) said: “We’re really starting to feel the benefit of having all the players at our disposal.
“The new players are settling in well, which is shining through in the performances.”
MICKLEHURST go to Kexborough in the Frank Platt Championship tomorrow without skipper Paul Barrow.
And they are looking to halt a losing streak in which their latest defeat was a home setback against Hall Bower.
President Duncan Ross said: “Paul is unavailable this time, but everyone is giving 100 per cent and will give it their best shot again.
“With so many players stepping up from the second team we always knew it would be a tough season.
“But they are all showing potential and I’m sure we’ll turn the corner soon.”
