A bid well executed
ALAN Bidwell made home advantage count in the finals of the Oldham Veterans’ League’s Farrow Cup, played at Springbank.
Bidwell beat Dave Farrell (Friezland) 21-17 in the final, after defeating team-mate Barrie Clark 21-7 in the semi-finals.
In the other semi, Farrell edged out Bob Nisbet (Nimble Nook) 21-20.
The quarter-final scores were: Clark 21, J Mountford (North Chadderton) 11; G Wrigley (Delph) 19, Bidwell 21; L Stokoe (Werneth) 13, Farrell 21; T Rogers (Springhead) 17, Nisbet 21.
