Hollyoaks stars at soccer bonanza

FOOTBALL: SPRINGHEAD AFC hosts the Live4Soccer open day festival on Sunday.
Organisers have lined up an under-nines and under-13s mini-soccer tournament as well as an open age ladies’ match.

A celebrity game is planned, starring Hollyoaks actors Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson), Anthony Quinlan (Gilly) and Nico Mirallegro (Newt), as well as Gerard Kearns (Ian Gallagher) and Oldham-born Ian Deam (Marty Fisher) from Shameless.

Leeds Rhino star Kevin Sinfield is also putting in an appearance.

All trophies will be dedicated to the memory of Emma Holt, a local teenager who died of a heart condition two years ago.

Proceeds from a raffle and auction will go to British Heart Foundation.
