Top clash in store at Royton

Bowls: THE draw for this year’s Oldham Evening Chronicle Bowling Handicap has been completed.

The second heats at Delph and Royton on Friday, June 11, have thrown up some interesting matches, with several ex-champions and strong contenders for this year’s title in the line-up.

Perhaps the most intriguing tie is at Royton where 2008 winner Alan Hodson (Springbank) will take on Jonathan Copeland (Nimble Nook), one of bowls’ most promising young players.
