Kyle hogs the limelight

CRICKET:
LANCASHIRE star Kyle Hogg hit an undefeated century as Delph beat high-flying Hoylandswaine at home in the Drakes Huddersfield League premiership.
After the visitors posted 239 for six, Hogg claiming three for 88, he hit 111 not out, backed up by Faisal Butt’s undefeated 79, as the hosts won by seven wickets.
Micklehurst lost at home to Shelley in the Frank Platt Championship.
Shelley scored 243 for eight, with M Brylowski taking four for 48, and the same player led Micklehurst’s resistance with 86 as Micklehurst fell 38 runs short of their target.
WOODHOUSES cruised to victory at home to Roe Green in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League division one.
Luke Swards scored 80 in the hosts’ 226, before the away side were dismissed for 107.
UPPERMILL are through to round three of the LCB Cup after a 52-run defeat of Hindley St Peters, from the Manchester Association.
Nathan Boote scored 46 and James Baron 32 in their 188 for nine.
St Peters were dismissed for 136 in reply, with Andy McVeigh (three for 23), James Baron (two for 22),
Matt Taylor (two for 24) and Mark Lees (two for 33) were among the wickets.
