LEADERS Shaw were brushed aside by Bamford Fieldhouse in the Saddleworth League top-of-the-table clash at Holebottom Clough.
Despite professional Ryan Senior’s five for 75 haul, the hosts needed 274 to win.
Simon Marshall, carrying on his fine form, was dismissed four runs short of a century.
Senior (62) was also Shaw’s main man with the bat, but he had precious little support as his side folded to 132 all out. Martin Smith claimed five for 45.
Shaw remain top, but Bamford are only a point behind with two games in hand.
Austerlands had a day to forget at Uppermill, crashing to 39 all out in reply to 200 for eight.
Mark Lees, with six for 27, and Mark Berry (50) were the home side’s main men.
At least Kevin Du Feu’s team scored more than the Austerlands class off 1964. They managed just seven against Delph!
Heyside are one place behind Stayley in fourth after a four-wicket defeat of Glodwick, who lost their first two wickets with no runs on the board.
They were eventually bowled out for 123, Liam Garnett bagging five for 40. Paid man Roelof Hugo was unbeaten on 61 in reply.
Friarmere, with pro Josh Butler taking five for 30, were on course for only their second win of the season when they dismissed Hollinwood for 115 at West View.
But it was not to be as they succumbed to 91 all out in reply. Rashid Khan was the chief destroyer with five for 31.
And Wasim Quasim claimed six for 46 for Droylsden, who reduced Moorside to 108 all out at Turf Pit Lane.
But it was far from plain sailing for Michael Schofield’s side as they lost seven wickets before clinching victory, pro JP Lee (five for 36) helping Moorside to three bowling points.
