FOOTBALL:
NORTH Star of High Crompton clinched the Rochdale and District Sunday League premier division title in a thrilling climax.
It all came down to a play-off, in which they beat Copperpot 1-0, courtesy of a Paul Ashton goal.
North Star also lifted the Chris Shyne Trophy to cap a fantastic campaign.
