FRED Bottom shows off his momento.
CRICKET: FRED Bottom has been recognised by the Lancashire Cricket Board for his tireless work at Greenfield Cricket Club.
A junior coach at the club for almost three decades, Fred was shortlisted for an Outstanding Service to Cricket Award or ‘OSCA’‚ in the ‘Behind The Scenes’‚ category.
He, along with 800 people from cricket clubs and supporters of the sport in Lancashire, attended a dinner at The Point at Old Trafford.
Unfortunately, Fred was overlooked for the award — it went to Arnold Woodcock of Westleigh CC — but he was presented with a special memento to mark his achievement of being among the final three.
