CRICKET: HOLDERS Heyside and last year’s beaten finalists Uppermill are through to the semi-finals of the Saddleworth and District Cricket League’s Twenty20 Cup.
Scott Bloor collected six for 22 as Heyside overcame Saddleworth by 36 runs.
And Uppermill, inspired by Mark Lees’ magnificent seven-wicket haul, swept aside Droylsden.
Captain Kevin Du Feu hit a superb 90 for Austerlands, who defeated Glodwick by 37 runs, while Moorside make up the last four after a 10-run victory over Greenfield.
Round two: Austerlands 164-7 (K Du Feu 90), Glodwick 126-7; Moorside 123, Greenfield 113-9; Droylsden 123 (M Lees 7-11), Uppermill 124-2; Heyside 182, Saddleworth 146 (S Bloor 6-22).
