Rogers makes a return

RUGBY: WES Rogers is back in the coaching fold at Saddleworth Rangers.
The former Oldham and Swinton prop forward has left the Lions, where he spent time as assistant coach, and will now perform a similar role at the Greenfield club.
Rogers will work alongside head coach Keith Brennan and Shane Wilson as Rangers prepare for life in the National Conference League premier division following promotion last term.
Saddleworth's first game in the top tier is at home to Skirlaugh on Saturday, August 21.
Oldham St Anne's and Waterhead both start two weeks later with home games against Thornhill in division one and Ovenden in division two respectively.
Rangers are keen to boost numbers in their youth ranks.
Teams at both under-17s level — playing in the North-West Counties structure — and under-18s, in the National Youth League, are being run next season.
Training takes place on Monday evenings at Churchill playing fields from 6.30pm and old and new players are welcome.
